MKK History (Maruichi Kokan / headquarter in Japan)
1926 | "Maruichi Production" founded as a bicycle parts company. |
1935 | Started producing bicycle steel pipes. |
1940 | Company name changed to "Maruichi Steel Tube Works" and separated from its bicycle parts division. |
1947 | "Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd." established. |
1956 | "Maruichi Kohan Ltd." founded. |
1957 | Osaka Plant commissioned. |
1958 | Tokyo Office opened. Electric tube welding system imported from Abby Etona Co. |
1960 | Nagoya Office opened. |
1961 | Tokyo Plant commissioned. |
1962 | Company listed to the Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchange (2nd board). |
1964 | Company listed to the Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchange (1st board). Fukuoka Office opened. |
1965 | Sakai Plant commissioned. |
1966 | Nagoya Plant commissioned. Hiroshima Office opened. |
1970 | "Hokkaido Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd." founded. Sapporo Office opened. |
1972 | Sakai Pole Plant commissioned. Osaka office opened. "Indonesia Steel Tube Works Ltd. (ISTW)" founded. |
1973 | Tokyo No.2 Plant commissioned. |
1974 | "Shikoku Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd." founded. "Kyushu Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd." founded. |
1977 | Nagoya Plant No.2 (current Nagoya Plant) commissioned. "Tachibana Industry Co., Ltd." and "Shikoku Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd." merged. |
1978 | Main office relocated to present address, Kitahorie, Nishi-ku, Osaka. Maruichi American Corporation (MAC) established. |
1989 | Takuma Plant commissioned. |
1995 | Kashima Pole Plant commissioned. Tokyo No.2 Plant renewal completed. |
1998 | Sapporo Plant consolidated to Tomakomai Plant under Hokkaido Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. |
2000 | Hiroshima Office and warehouse opened. |
2001 | Annealing facilities built in Takuma Plant. |
2002 | Tokyo No.2 Plant new warehouse constructed. Hamamatsu's new warehouse completed. |
2003 | New warehouse and cutting factory opened in Nagoya Plant. |
2004 | Kyushu Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. renewal completed. |
2005 | New factory opened in Tomakomai Plant of Hokkaido Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. |
2006 | New warehouse opened in Nagoya Plant. Maruichi Metal Product Co., Ltd.(MMP) founded in Foshan, China. Sun Steel Corporation (Vietnam) joins Maruichi Steel tube Group. |
2007 | New warehouse opened in Okayama warehouse. New plant built in Sakai plant. SEIKEI STEEL TUBE CORPORATION (Japan) joins Maruichi Steel Tube Group. |
2008 | Leavitt Tube Company, LLC (IL, USA) joins and became one of subsidiary companies of Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. Sun Steel Joint Stock Company became one of subsidiary companies of Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. Sakai Plant renewal completed. |
2009 | MARUICHI KUMA STEEL TUBE PRIVATE LIMITED (India) has become one of subsidiary companies of Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd. Sakai Production Facility of Seikei Steel Pipe Corporation founded. Additional acquisition of stocks in Alpha Metal Co., Ltd. (Japan). |
2010 | 16"mill built in SUNSCO (Vietnam) Sun Steel (Hanoi, Vietnam) Co., Ltd. founded. J-Spiral Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. joins Maruichi Steel Tube Group. |
2011 | Maruichi Metal Product (China, Tianjin) founded opened. Mechanical structure steel tube mill at Tokyo No.2 Plant founded opened. No.2 factory mill at Sakai Pole Plant founded opened. |
2012 | Maruichi Metal Product( China, Wuhan) founded opened. No.2 and No.3 factory mill at Tokyo No.2 Plant founded opened. Maruichimex (Mexico) Co., Ltd. founded. |
2013 | Megasolar Power Plant has started operation in Takuma Plant. Sun Steel Co., Ltd. Started operation No.2 CGL ・CCL |
2014 | Tokyo Plant and Tokyo No.2 plant completed consolidating |
2015 | Maruichi Oregon Steel tube founded |
